“Horses teach you a lot, very little of it actually has to do with horses.”

As a licensed independent clinical social worker, I specialize in mental skills and mindset coaching for equestrians. With a background as both a former rider and a current horse show parent, I combine personal experience and clinical expertise to help riders of all ages. Through my journey as a junior rider and now as I support my daughter in the equestrian world, I have witnessed firsthand the impact that self-doubt, lack of focus, and nerves can have on performance.

Reflecting on my own riding experience as a child, I recall being overwhelmed by nerves at horse shows, often lacking the tools to manage my anxiety and preventing it from affecting my performance. While trainers and parents did their best to instill confidence, there was always something missing. Watching my daughter’s experiences inspired me to recognize just how essential mindset and attitude are for fostering both happiness and success in riders.

From our earliest days at the barn, we are taught to prioritize our horse’s needs, making sure they receive the best possible care and attention. We go to great lengths to ensure their well-being; yet often overlook the rider’s need for support. My coaching approach offers personalized strategies and support for riders, parents, and trainers alike, so that everyone can achieve their full potential in and out of the saddle.
